Calling experienced Boilermakers and Pipefitters! A leading engineering and maintenance contractor in Western Australia is looking for skilled tradespeople to join its team.
You will work on both workshop and site-based projects, taking part in structural, mechanical and piping (SMP) fabrication, maintenance and shutdown work for the resource and energy sectors. Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate and install structural steel, and fabricate, assemble and install industrial piping systems
- Weld following approved procedures and industry standards
- Repair and maintain pressure vessels, tanks and structural parts
- Read and work from engineering drawings and fabrication plans
- Do fabrication work in the workshop and installation work on site, including shutdown and maintenance projects
- Check fabricated components to make sure they meet quality standards
- Use fabrication equipment and power tools safely
- Work in confined spaces and at heights when needed
- Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times and keep your work area clean and tidy
- Work together with supervisors and project teams
- Complete project paperwork and reports as required
Requirements & Eligibility
- An Australian trade qualification, or a recognised overseas equivalent, in Boilermaking or Pipefitting
- Demonstrated hands-on experience in structural, mechanical and piping fabrication
- Able to pass 3G or 4G MMAW and FCAW welding tests
- Experience on industrial or mining projects
- Current Working at Heights and Confined Space certifications
- A High Risk Work Licence with EWP endorsement, plus a Construction White Card
- Strong knowledge of workplace health and safety practices
- Able to read and understand technical drawings, and a great team player with excellent communication skills
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
