Key Responsibilities
- Make espresso-based coffee that follows the café's recipes and presentation standards, along with other hot drinks of consistent quality
- Use espresso machines, grinders and other beverage equipment
- Keep things moving smoothly when the café gets busy
- Greet and serve customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Take orders and handle payments accurately
- Help prepare and present the café's food
- Keep your station clean and organised, and clean and maintain the coffee equipment regularly
- Check beverage supplies and help with stock control
- Help open and close the café each day, keeping service areas neat and ready for customers
- Work safely and follow food hygiene standards
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven, hands-on barista experience
- Strong technical knowledge of making coffee
- Able to keep quality and consistency high when it gets busy, working quickly without cutting corners on quality
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer-facing service
- Good communication, people and teamwork skills
- A reliable and committed attitude to work
- A high standard of cleanliness and personal presentation
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Flexible for rostered shifts and weekend work
- Eligible candidates may be considered for sponsorship
