A reputable workplace is looking for experienced Barbers who can show genuine hands-on ability, great client service and a steady professional standard. If you want to build your career and have your experience judged on capability, reliability and professional fit, this could be for you, whether you learned the craft back home in the Philippines or in a shop overseas.
Full-time, part-time and casual arrangements are on offer, with competitive pay of about $38–$65 per hour depending on experience. Eligible candidates who relocate may also access a relocation incentive of up to $2,500, subject to applicable conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Give clients professional haircuts, fades and modern barbering services
- Trim, shape and groom beards
- Talk with each client about what they like and suggest styles that suit them
- Use strong technical skills to get accurate, consistent results, keeping precision, presentation and workmanship high
- Make every client feel welcome and professionally looked after, and build good long-term relationships with them
- Keep your station and equipment clean and hygienic
- Follow the workplace's health, safety and hygiene procedures
- Handle appointments and finish services efficiently
- Stay up to date with the latest barbering styles, techniques and trends
- Work well with the rest of the team and help keep the shop positive and professional
- Show up reliably and bring a strong work ethic
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven professional experience working as a Barber
- Strong practical skills in cutting and fading, plus demonstrated experience in beard grooming and styling
- Able to produce high-quality barbering results consistently
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- A professional attitude and presentation, with excellent attention to detail
- Reliable, motivated and committed to quality, and confident working both on your own and in a team
- A relevant barbering qualification or industry experience you can demonstrate
- Able to verify your relevant qualifications, experience and trade capability
- Australian work rights, or eligibility for an appropriate work visa
- Working Holiday Visa holders are welcome to apply
- Sponsorship is available for a suitably qualified and experienced candidate
- Willing to relocate to Queensland where required
