Key Responsibilities
- Listen to what each customer wants for their haircut, styling and grooming before you begin
- Style and cut hair using clippers, scissors and razors
- Create fades and tapered cuts, plus barbering styles both contemporary and traditional
- Look after moustaches and beards with trimming and shaping, and perform shaves
- Share advice on suitable products, grooming and hair care
- Keep your tools, equipment and workstation disinfected and clean, help maintain a hygienic and safe workplace, process payments and give friendly and professional customer service
Requirements & Eligibility
- Certificate III in Barbering or Hairdressing, or a qualification that is equivalent, or substantial relevant experience in place of these
- Demonstrated experience on the job as a barber
- Strong fades and beard grooming, backed by strong scissor cutting and clipper cutting
- Clear communication and customer service skills, with the ability to contribute to a team and to work independently
- Professional presentation, reliable work habits and availability on a roster with weekends included
