All those early mornings in the bakery have built real skills, and this job gives you the chance to show them. Your baking experience should count for more than a line on a CV. A qualified Baker is wanted who can prove genuine commercial bakery skills, practical production experience and consistent results.
You will join an established food business in South Australia, working in a structured, professional setting with modern bakery equipment and an experienced team turning out breads and sweet bakery goods.
Bakers with experience from the Middle East, the Philippines or elsewhere are welcome to see if they match the requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Make breads and sweet yeast products that meet commercial standards
- Measure, mix and prepare ingredients accurately, following set recipes, baking techniques and production procedures
- Use industrial ovens and commercial bakery equipment safely
- Watch over the baking process so product quality stays consistent
- Handle preparation, baking and packing according to each day's production needs
- Keep production standards steady even during busy, time-sensitive periods
- Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures, and keep the bakery clean, organised and efficient
- Work closely with the bakery team to reach production targets
- Handle ingredients and finished products safely, including loads of up to 25kg
- Help day-to-day bakery operations run smoothly by working in a reliable, organised way
Requirements & Eligibility
- Demonstrated experience in commercial baking, with hands-on work in a commercial bakery or food production environment
- Certificate III in Baking preferred
- Practical experience with industrial ovens and commercial bakery equipment
- Able to show knowledge of baking methods, recipes and production processes
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements, and able to keep product quality and consistency
- Able to work early shifts starting from approximately 2:00am
- Good physical stamina and able to lift up to 25kg
- Reliable transport and a current and valid driver's licence
- A strong work ethic and dependable attendance
- Able to work well with others in a professional bakery team
- Valid Australian work rights or eligibility for an appropriate visa
- Able to provide supporting evidence of your qualifications and relevant work experience
- Willingness to work in South Australia
- Sponsorship is available to candidates who satisfy the required skills and experience criteria
