Do you enjoy hands-on technical work, a good level of independence and the chance to earn well? Here is an opening for an experienced Automotive Glazier to work across Western Australia's mining and industrial sectors, with flexible residential or FIFO arrangements.
This is a mobile service job, so you will travel to customer locations to replace windscreens and other automotive glass. A company vehicle, phone and tools are provided, giving you everything you need to do the job efficiently and professionally.
Glazing experience you gained in the Middle East or back home in the Philippines is overseas work experience too, so make sure it shows in your application.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel to customer sites to deliver mobile glazing services
- Replace windscreens and other automotive glass on light vehicles, commercial trucks, heavy machinery and mining equipment
- Look at each job first to assess what glazing work is needed
- Take out damaged windscreens safely and efficiently
- Cut glass and get it ready for installation
- Produce top-quality workmanship every time
- Talk clearly with customers and with your teammates
- Organise your own day with a high level of independence
- Put jobs in order of priority based on customer and operational needs
- Look after your tools, equipment and the company vehicle
- Follow every safety and site procedure that applies
Requirements & Eligibility
- Minimum 2 years' relevant automotive glazing experience, covering light vehicles, trucks and heavy equipment
- Certificate III in Automotive Glazing Technology
- Competent in automotive glass cutting
- A high level of attention to detail
- Strong time management
- Able to work autonomously and also effectively as part of a team
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- A reliable and trustworthy approach
- Able to obtain a National Police Clearance
- Able to pass a pre-employment medical
- Willing to take part in ongoing drug and alcohol screening
- ADAS calibration experience is advantageous, and Working at Heights, EWP and Forklift tickets are advantageous
