You will work on many kinds of systems and projects, from commercial air conditioning, refrigeration, coolrooms and freezer rooms to ventilation, chilled water systems and commercial catering equipment.

Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain commercial HVAC and refrigeration systems, including commercial refrigeration equipment and the systems linked to it
- Find faults and troubleshoot air conditioning and refrigeration equipment, identifying mechanical, electrical and refrigeration issues
- Do preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Install and look after coolrooms and freezer rooms
- Install and maintain ventilation systems for commercial and industrial clients
- Handle kitchen exhaust and specialist ventilation installations
- Keep commercial kitchen and catering equipment serviced
- Help install, service and maintain chilled water systems
- Test and commission systems and carry out performance checks
- Refer to technical documents, drawings and equipment specifications as you work, and keep service records and job paperwork up to date
- Work well with fellow technicians and project teams
- Stay professional on commercial and industrial sites and follow Australian workplace health and safety procedures
- Keep growing your technical knowledge through hands-on experience and training
Requirements & Eligibility
- Qualified in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, HVAC, Electrical or a related trade
- Hands-on experience you can demonstrate in commercial or industrial settings
- A genuine, verifiable work history relevant to this role, plus evidence of your qualifications, trade experience and technical skills
- A strong understanding of HVAC, refrigeration or related mechanical systems
- Practical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Able to work independently and as part of a professional technical team
- A strong commitment to safety at work and to quality workmanship
- Good problem-solving and communication skills
- Willingness to learn Australian workplace practices and keep developing professionally
- Applicants with transferable skills from mechanical, maintenance, construction or manufacturing backgrounds may also be considered
- Ability to successfully complete the relevant skills and employment verification process and to meet applicable Australian employment and visa requirements; sponsorship is available for suitably qualified overseas candidates, subject to verification and eligibility requirements
