Good with numbers and careful with records? A growing steel solutions business in Fairfield, Sydney wants an Accounts & Bookkeeping All-Rounder to support its finance team at a junior level.
This is not just about keying in transactions. You will help keep the company's daily finances accurate, organised and reliable. Along the way you will get hands-on exposure to accounts administration, customer payments, reconciliations, payroll support and financial record keeping.
If you have real accounting knowledge and practical experience, whether from the Philippines, the Middle East or elsewhere, this is a chance to build long-term experience in a supportive workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter supplier invoices and keep the supporting paperwork in order
- Process customer payments accurately, keep an eye on unpaid balances and help follow up on payments
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts
- Help with onboarding new staff and preparing payroll
- Keep financial records accurate and confidential, filed according to company procedures
- Support the day-to-day finance and accounts administration
- Use Excel and accounting software to keep financial information up to date
- Give the wider finance team a hand with admin and accounting work
- Stay professional and dependable when dealing with people inside and outside the company
Requirements & Eligibility
- Proven experience in accounts administration or a relevant finance role
- A practical understanding of accounting principles
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, plus experience with Xero or similar accounting software
- Strong with numbers and attention to detail
- Able to keep financial records accurate and well organised
- Clear, professional communication skills
- A reliable, responsible attitude at work, with good organisation and time management
- Able to work on your own and as part of a team
- Genuine experience relevant to the role that can be verified
- Able to meet the applicable Australian employment requirements
- Sponsorship is available for suitable and qualified candidates
