Key Responsibilities
- Look after the accounting and tax work for your own portfolio of SME clients
- Build lasting, professional relationships with your clients
- Talk directly with clients about their accounting, tax and business matters
- Prepare accurate tax returns and financial statements in an efficient way
- Use your practical knowledge to handle Division 7A requirements as well as Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT) matters
- Help clients with their accounting and business advisory needs
- Take part in advisory projects and other value-added services for clients
- Make sure every piece of work meets a high professional and compliance standard
- Work closely with your colleagues so clients get consistent results
- Build up your technical and leadership skills as you work towards a Manager role
Requirements & Eligibility
- CA or CPA qualified, or close to finishing your qualification
- At least 4 years of experience in Australian Public Practice
- A strong, practical background in Australian tax compliance
- Proven experience working with SME clients
- Able to manage client relationships on your own
- Hands-on knowledge of Division 7A, CGT and FBT
- Excellent verbal and written communication, plus strong professional presentation and interpersonal skills
- A high level of attention to detail and a reliable, professional work ethic
- A clear willingness to keep learning and take on more responsibility
- Able to work well in a collaborative accounting team
- Candidates who need sponsorship may be considered if all professional requirements are met
